New Normal

Visual identity / Print design / Digital marketing

New Normal is a graduate fashion exhibition showcasing the year- long body of work created by seven fashion students in the midst of COVID-19 isolation. The identity of the exhibition draws on the hazy, nebulous uncertainty of working alone during lockdown without the usual studio support system to lean on and the way the days started to blur together into one. The muted colour palette of deep purples is punctuated with a complementary bright blue representing the resilience and drive of the designers working in the ‘new normal’ that was lockdown. The sketchy flower motif additionally reflects this determination to push through and grow.

I would like to acknowledge the Gadigal and Bidjigal people of the Eora Nation, on whose unceded lands I live and work, and pay my respects to their elders — past, present and future. This is, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
